M14 render 1

This is a specialised M14 upgrade made by the Springfield Armoury for SOCOM which is the United States Special Forces essentially. The choice to go back to such an old rifle (which first entered service in WW2 as the M1) was based on North Korean insistence on wearing their gear on their chests. It was believed at the time that along with their body armour the gear would mean that North Korean soldiers would not be downed by M16 bullets. Therefore various types of M14's were modified and updated for service with the modern US military. One of those examples is the XM-18 which the PoE team choose as the most suitable for a counter-part to the G3 rifle.

The model is based off my previous M21 model. Both guns share the majority of important parts and therefore all I needed to do was modify an already completed model. This will make unwrapping quite easy.

Each gun weighs in at around 3000 tris
